Serverius: two different paths to the internet

We always get positive feedback when we share some information about the data center of network, so we try to keep on posting. If you’ve got a blog topic for us you can contact and we’ll try to blog about it next time. The Serverius network has connectivity with transits and peerings in two different data centers in Amsterdam. From there the network is transported over two fibers with each a different route and supplier to prevent problems when somebody accidentally broke the fiber or when there is maintenance on one of the fibers. The fibers are from two different suppliers which means that if one of the suppliers has a problem with their hardware, Serverius can choose to use the other fiber to transfer the network data. There are examples that Eurofiber upgraded the firmware on their hardware in Amsterdam which caused problems on some of their fibers.
