New DNS cluster online
We have launched our new DNS cluster. The new DNS cluster has some changes, but is free for every client with us!
- New location for the DNS servers
- How to automaticly migrate the DNS records from your VPS
- DNS record management
- What do I have to do?
New location for the DNS servers
In the old situation ns1.yourwebhoster.eu ran on a server in an other network and location. We’ve moved ns1.yourwebhoster.eu to our primary location in Dronten and the secondary server is running on a server in an other network and location. We’ve also changed the name to ns2.ispnoc.net.
How to automaticly migrate the DNS records from your VPS
If you’ve already a DNS server at your VPS (what is most likely when you’re using DirectAdmin) you only have to add two rows to your DNS server configuration and restart your DNS server. Your DNS server will do all the hard work for you and transfer the DNS settings to our DNS servers. You can find more information about this in the knowledge base.
DNS record management
We will add soon extra features to our client area like DNS management. With this tool you can add DNS records without having a shared, reseller, vps, dedicated or colocated service. A domain registration allows you to manage your domain with our DNS servers. It is also possible to point the domain to other internet providers.
What do I have to do?
You only have to change the DNS records to ns1.yourwebhoster.eu and ns2.ispnoc.net. After 24 hour the changes are done, there won’t be any down time because the old system remains online. But if you’re using whitelabel DNS servers you need to change your DNS records to:
ns1.yourwebhoster.eu 46.249.37.254 (IPv6: 2a00:1ca8:e:4::e78:fa0f )
ns2.ispnoc.net 178.18.95.146 (IPv6 2a02:348:63:5f92::1)
ns1.yourwebhoster.eu and ns2.ispnoc.net can be replaced with your names. For more information or help you can open a support ticket.
